My readership has gone down. Phew. It's probably for the best, as I've gone scientifically dry, with nary a new idea or thought. I have read quite a bit, and collecting facts is basic science, so:
My weekly column on the goings on of the world. There's been a surge in articles about automation and robotics following the release of a large study. I've distilled the goings on to a few articles worth reading.

Are Robots Not Coming for Your Job After All?

As Robots Steal Millennials’ Jobs, Young Workers Focus On Skills, Not Careers
People are making more with less effort, provided they have work. While air plane pilots didn't disappear, they certainly have different jobs than they did a century ago. Much like the time of the Wright brothers, many people are trying different mechanics to create artificial intelligence, and while many certainly move, none are yet capable of flight, or in this case, thought. Sooner or later however, someone will create A.I., much like the Wright brothers achieved flight with a lot of trial and error, it seems. Many posit that it will happen in the years 2030+. I dunno.
The robot has a two hour battery life and does more housework in a day than I do!
I could advance an opinion, however, I feel I shouldn't. Inequality is a great subject, but standard of living is important as well.

Translation:
We fear predictions made long ago
We exist far above the sky, and all material things
A bird that flies to the borderline
I look out over thousands of Earths
Free from gravity, it's enticing me
As I continue on to my destination
Electricity makes an arc as it's cut off
Twisted-up world, like a grapevine
A molecule bends out one hand
As though to become one with my heart
I throw my body from the pier
As though flying to the borderline between fact and fiction
Flying to the borderline between fact and fiction
I hang up the phone
No one was on the other end
Memories wash over me
The scents of the mysteries of air and rain
We fear predictions made long ago
We exist far above the sky, and all material things
Maybe learning can become fun again. And the story I've yet to read about much. The share of the world population living in extreme poverty never declined faster than now.

Personal stuff!
I'm not feeling very good these past few months, but better a few bitter truths than grief filled meanderings. I'm not a very smart person, in the way people are considered smart, I've started to think. I never did very well in school. I'm feeling rather unequipped to face this future world of thunder and magic, and I hate manual labor. Even typing seems a chore, but creating is it's own reward. I'm going back to university, hopefully with better results than last time, and hoping a technical diploma will pull my bacon out of the fire. I only took one class, but I'm already feeling under pressure. I don't feel the call of Science, the way I felt, even a few months ago. I've lost most of my "steam" these days and feel useless. I just wanna play my video games and read about science and art.On the other hand... My song of the day.

Meditating a lot
Yeah, so I'm trying out metta meditation. Feels good. Breath focus helps with the fatigue and toxins. I can reach ecstasy at will, but hardly ever reach for it. I don't know why. Who doesn't want to be a happy zombie? But for some reason... sigh. Maybe my sadness makes me happy?
Local, then universal
I had thought I would never write another journal entry, as the idea that nothing eats stars seemed the most important idea I could ever have. Well, it's not. Or not quite. I have become entranced by socialism, and its promise. But first, capitalism and its defenders must be laid low. Which, as many say, Karl Marx did a century ago. His argument is moral: the extra labour done by workers is siphoned off by capitalists, and they have no say in what is done with their work. To Marx, this is wrong. I agree. Capitalists then counter with "Greed is good" and the weak must serve the strong.
There is, however, a simpler argument: if everyone lives
The patches of Life lowering light in galaxies?
Where's the patches of Life lowering light galaxies?
You could and should consider that if any galaxy developped some kind of "Life", that, if it grew exponentially, would begin eating even the stars (pulling them apart in some manner), we would see such galaxies dim, or appear diminished from missing patches of matter. However, no such galaxy has ever been seen.
I imagined neutronium shelled beings spreading out in some constellation of living, using and eating nothing but gravitons (the heaviest, and therefore most energetic of particles to eat). There was some question I had about how they could taste anything, as everything would taste
